The Beef Shed

There were piles of chicken pieces in trays with signage saying Sale $1.99kg . The tray was marked $4.99kg so I assumed they just hadn't been marked down. When we checked at the check out, the lady said no that's large pieces not wing pieces (the wings cut up into pieces minus the tips). I said they needed to remove the signs, she then continued to argue about them being large pieces (not written anywhere)and they were refilling them. Yet there sat dozens of trays of chicken pieces(wings cut) with no empty gaps to fill. She then went on to say that she didn't I quote "have time to fix it". It would have taken 60 seconds from where she stood . She told me to complain to a guy nearby. I wasn't going to and wish I hadn't. I was met with a very abrupt and rude man who told me I didn't know what I was talking about. Ironically I owned a butcher shop as well as being raised in them, spending decades in the industry and worked in a position in the industry where I had to explain laws and regulations. In the eastern states. I think he just thought I was a whinging woman. He walked away from me while I was speaking to him. The laziness and rudeness was more upsetting than the actual problem. Zero customer service skills. A simple, I am sorry about that. We are getting it fixed now and removing the sign until it's restocked correctly is all that was needed. I've recently moved to Perth and have been to buy meat a few times. I know large wholesalers don't care too much because they are long established busy places but it's no excuse for rudeness. Staff need to be schooled on advertising laws and customer service.

Nice establishment, unfortunately my visit was ruined by a passive aggressive check out lady, I’m sure she’s normally nice and was just having a crappy morning but still no need to be rude to myself or family..the issue was that meat was placed in the incorrect area which is completely okay and mistakes are made and that is okay and we were fine to pay the difference but unfortunately the attitude from the woman was not okay and really rubbed us the wrong way about the business…personally I would ensure my staff were competent in customer service and ensuring they know how to greet and communicate with customers without being rude but each to their own I guess. 3 out of the last 4 times I've been here the meat had a rotten smell to it and even after cooking it had the same rotten stench taste. Literally had to just throw in the bin. Just gross on how rank it was. I'd say the meat sits for days and then vacuum sealed and then sits for a week or so in the fridge waiting to be sold. Everyone I know that's been here says the same. It's hit n miss
